· History

Montverde at Oldstone dates back to the 18th century and the Van Cortlandt family who came from Amsterdam. They ended up becoming very involved in the politics of the United States. The beautiful mansion on the Hudson River, a part of this property, was built around the same time.

Montverde has come a long way from then, being passed down through generations as an inheritance. The entire property has been split with some parts sold, but the mansion stayed, retaining its grandeur. This is a testament to the expert craftsmanship at work.

The current owners of this lovely place purchased in it 2011 and saved this mansion from being this destroyed. They have also worked with experts to restore the property to its former grandeur. This is how we have the breathtaking New York Wedding Venue that is today.

Location

Montverde at Oldstone is located on Bear Mountain Bridge road. While this location is private and serene, it is less than an hour away from Central Manhattan. This location has many elements that couples look for in a New York Wedding Venue. Waterside views, a historic mansion, an old sweeping staircase, rolling lawns, and even an outdoor stone patio. It’s the perfect place for your celebration.

Celebration Spaces

Montverde at Oldstone can host up to 360 guests for a celebration. Couples who have their wedding here can choose from many fantastic indoor and outdoor spaces. The Outdoor celebration spaces include the stone patio, grape arbor, the Pavilion, and the Grand Lawn. Indoors, couples can choose from the Grand Dining Room, The Governors Dining Room, and the Veranda Dining Room.

Each of these comes with attractions like views of the Hudson River, a double sweeping stairwell, ten-foot French doors, balconies, and a fireplace. There aren’t many places where you can get such a beautiful historical background as part of your wedding. The mansion is available for weddings year-round, while the weddings in the pavilion take place from April to October.
