jaclyn + Rich | Asbury Park Boardwalk, NJ
A sunset engagement shoot at magic hour on the boardwalks of Asbury Park, NJ. We highly recommend shooting as the later stages or the day as the light is the best — I mean, how many times are you going to be doing this anyway!? Also take a look at the engagement book created from this fun shoot. It’s really stunning.
Asbury Park, NJ
a photographer’s wonderland!
There’s so many interesting backdrops and unique places to shoot in Asbury Park that I’m surprised I didn’t see roaming packs of photographers — as you do in Central Park’s Bethesda Fountain when the temperature starts to approach ‘sweater weather’. The boardwalk itself, although a little run down in a few places (but not much), is chock full of charm, of the urban decay variety — how hip! What with its colorfully painted food stands — even if they’re shuttered for the day — its well-trodden boardwalk and benches, and the beach itself, it’s a treasure trove of visual interest. Take for example The Carousel House, shown below, with its rusted green patina, catching the sun as it sets — just gorgeous. Where else can you find locations like this!
So if you’re New Jersey-based, or even NYC-based, and want to take the drive down for your engagement session it’s so well worth doing and we’ll see you there!
