Bronx Zoo Wedding | LGBT Gay Wedding, New York City
A wonderful late-summer wedding at the Bronx Zoo in New York City. The happy couple enjoyed a private golf-cart tour of their favorite exhibits — to catch a peek of the exotic wildlife — before the ceremony commenced at the grand architecture of the Zoo Center building. Later, the guests enjoyed cocktails alongside the sea lion exhibit… until it was time for entrances in the Schiff Family Great Hall for the reception. The colorfully-lit hall, replete with multi-colored feathery-plumage centerpieces, created an atmosphere of 1920’s sophistication.
As for the wedding photography, we made use of the countless gardens, stone steps, gateways, and other architectural delights to capture the formals; as well as the exhibits themselves. It’s a great place to shoot that’s a lot of fun and variation — there really aren’t many venues you can say that about! By the time the ceremony starts the public have virtually left the grounds and it feels like you have the zoo all to yourself.
Kudos to the staff and planners at Bronx Zoo — they make it all so easy and relaxed. A stress-free and elegant day in historic surrounds. Certainly a venue to consider that keeps your guests entertained.
But that’s not all…
All event proceeds support the Wildlife Conservation Society's mission to help save wildlife and wild places around the globe. They do so through science, global conservation, education, and the management of the world's largest system of urban wildlife parks, led by the flagship Bronx Zoo.
