A wedding we photographed at Liberty House in New Jersey. This venue offers incredible views across the Hudson to the expansive Manhattan skyline and southern tip of the island. From the wraparound verandas on the second floor of the venue you can spy Lady Liberty herself as well as keep an eye on the comings and goings at the marina.
Due to the seasonal weather the ceremony was held inside the venue, previously we’ve shot ceremonies in the gardens with Manhattan as a backdrop.
Nearby is the Empty Sky Memorial, the railroad terminal with its abandoned train tracks and old train and colorful carriages that are great for pictures.
We hit quite a few locations on this engagement. Starting at the studio for some quick shots, we then headed south to Washington Square, then into the Village for some street shots, and further south to Soho, finishing up downtown.
Although we shot this engagement session in November both Shana and Michael braved the weather and got some great shots. We shot their wedding at Del Posto on 10th Avenue a few weeks later.
